Sustainable Event Alliance & Perfect+

Perfect+ is committed to apply any effort to keep event productions as sustainable as possible. Perfect+ is as such a member of the Sustainable Event Alliance and implicating the following charter. Perfect+ pledges to support the following when planning and delivering our produced events.

Commitment, communication, leadership

  • Embed and uphold the principles of sustainable development.
  • Commit to sustainability through provision of resources to enable it – time, people, money, materials, knowledge.Produce and uphold a Sustainability Policy.
  • Work toward relevant industry sustainability performance standards, certification or reporting principles.
  • Undergo skills and capacity building in sustainability.
  • Work with the supply chain to encourage sustainable solutions.
  • Communicate sustainability commitment to all stakeholders.

Social responsibility

  • Consider accessibility issues, including access for complaints and grievances, disabled and elderly access, fair ticketing practices etc. Communicate with and engage the local community.
  • Design-in legacy including resources, knowledge, environment restoration, innovation, skills, business opportunities and economic support.
  • Ensure respect for cultural or religious sensitivities, indigenous rights and vulnerable groups.
  • Ensure the event is and accessible safe for all participants.
  • Prioritise health and safety, diversity and equal opportunity, and fair working conditions for the workforce.
  • Carry out activities in adherence with the responsible business practices of inclusivity, integrity and transparency, and not to participate in anti-competitive behaviour, bribery or corruption.
  • Environmental stewardship
  • Work to reduce resource consumption (energy, water, natural and non-renewable resources).
  • Work to reduce the environmental impacts of purchasing and venue operations (emissions to air, land and water – including toxicity issues).
  • Carry out due diligence along our own supply chain to ensure the most sustainable purchasing choices are made.
  • Manage waste along the principles of Zero Waste.Implement active and participatory waste processes – to engage participants in the principles of separation and diversion from landfill.
  • Reduce the transport impacts of our activities.
  • Protection of biodiversity and the natural environment in the immediate vicinity and also as it is impacted by the supply chain.

Sustainable Event Alliance

Reporting

  • Measure, report and disclose impacts.
  • Keep up to date with the industry norms of reporting scope.
  • Feed reporting into national or international benchmarking programs so that event benchmarks can be established – where possible and relevant.
  • Only make verifiable performance claims.
  • Make ‘Zero Waste’ claims only if the amount of waste which is reused, recycled and/or composted is substantially less than that sent for energy recovery.
  • Do not claim ‘carbon neutral’ if ‘neutrality’ has been achieved entirely through carbon offsetting, without measurable and transparent reductions actions firstly, as per PAS 2060 (unless in the first reporting year).
  • Share learnings and best practice with our industry and stakeholders.
